Ryan and Mallory have been engaged for some time now but they have been too busy travelling and quite honestly, rocking life to be planning a wedding. However, like with all things in life, the time has come for them to go back home and make it official but they wanted to make sure that they had a keepsake of their time here in Korea and so they decided to combine engagement photos with their life in Korea.
When Mallory first emailed me she said that her and Ryan have their hearts set on a picture of them enjoying an afternoon beer in front of a convenience store - a very common thing to do here in Korea and for me well, it's one of the top reasons on my "Why I love Korea" list. Ryan and Mallory live in a small town with very few things to do and so this is something that is quite a regular activity for them.
We decided to start with this idea on a beautiful autumn afternoon and as the session went on, it just got better and better.
Mallory had also mentioned her and Ryan's love for the outdoors and so our next location was my favorite spot in Chonnam University...
Once again this location did not disappoint! The light that day was on its best behaviour and my subjects were being wonderfully (as Mallory put it) awkward. After many, many laughs we drove across town to catch the last bit of the sunset at our final location...
Ryan and Mallory, thank you so much for inviting us to document your love and the start of your new lives! We wish you all the best for your future and congratulations once again!
